If you saw our message earlier this week, you might be wondering what’s changing at Bid Llama. We’ve come a long way since we opened nearly 2 years ago, and I’ve worked hard to build a business that’s fun for our team and exciting for you to shop at.
If you’ve been with us since before March 2024, some familiar things are making a comeback — with improvements! Let’s dive in:
Our final auction on OAS will be Tuesday — then we move to HiBid starting Thursday, May 15!
To bid, you’ll need to:
1. Set up a new account
2. Add a valid credit card

We’re adding bigger, more valuable items to the mix — and with that, better item descriptions!
We're also bringing back item condition reviews. Every item will be assigned one of 13 condition levels. If it’s damaged, missing parts, or cosmetically flawed, you’ll see it clearly labeled — with photos and notes.

The pick-up process stays the same. When you arrive:
- You’ll check in and get a printout
- It’ll tell you where to find your items
Need help with big stuff? Just flag one of our crew members!
Our costs have gone up (like everything else), and we’ve been eating those increases for a while. To stay sustainable, here’s what’s changing:
- Technology Fee: $0.50 per item (shown at the bottom of your invoice)
- Credit Card Fee: 3% on each invoice

To switch to a cash customer, text us at 205-882-3388 or email support@bidllama.com with your name and a note that you’d like to pay cash moving forward. We’ll do our best to process it before auction close — but if it's after hours or too late in the day, your card may still be charged for that auction.
